Basically Finished

I did all my recording last night, the sound quality wasn't the best, but its good enough. Almost all my editing i finished and he video looks alright, there are a few scenes which could be better, but they will have to do. Hopefully the final production looks like I hope and not to cheap. The video as a whole seems to work well, just the last part isnt quite finished.

Another blog thing

I have finished recording all my footage, most of it looks as I planned, I'm hoping it all fits together correctly. The tripod was having several problems so I'm hoping none of the shots are dodgy. Several scenes I wish to change the colour and lighting, am unsure now whether I will do it to all the scenes, it could work well, or it may not, seems like a bit of a gamble. Several scenes I can not do again and haven't looked at just yet and am hoping they look as I planned. Quite glad I chose to use the camera I got instead of the small cameras, the picture seems better than my other videos. The only thing I find strange is editing scenes with myself in it, I was hoping the mask would disguise that, my eyes are a dead giveaway, I didn't want to appear as the main character, not really a problem, just not something I wanted.
I am quite happy with how the camera looks on camera, it doesn't really look like one big joke and I am happy I didn't decide on a wooden tribal mask or cheap latex mask.
Ran into a problem in the morning, realise I forgot to film some filler scenes, don't think hey looks as good as I hoped, but I have a few tricks to achieve what I want.

Really late blog, I mean regular

I just did my first part of filming at Josh Matic's house. It went rather well and hopefully the footage is good. I followed the storyboard almost exactly, which will help a lot in editing, yet now am worried I may have to much footage and the film will go longer than expected. Any music I choose to make for the film, I may have to extend. Everything is going to plan, yet am worried I may run out of time before hand.

Another Crappy Post

I have finally gotten everything together for my video. My mask has arrived it is quite nice looking, I may make or buy a $5 cape to go with the outfit, although my plan is to not spend any more money on the video. I have finished writing the script and lyrics, I am rather happy with the lyrics, I will fix em up to perfection when I can, the main thing I need to work on is finding people to be in my video, settings for certain clips. Alot of footage will be at my house, yet I may use the drama room as the curtains seem to work, and I need to find a good garage type setting. I finally found/made a good tune for the film and am currently expecting the film to last 3mins, although I may stretch it to 4 mins with luck. I have written up all the scenes and have everything I need to make them work. I have gotten rid of all violent ideas and although I am trying to avoid humour, I feel it will be tricky, I dont really want it to be taken seriously either, basically I want the same attitude as most people have towards music videos, if they dont like the music, they can at least admire the video itself. My main problem is also reliability, I want friends to bring in balaclavas and suits for certain shots, tricky thing is, if they forget or suddenly turn up saying something like "Oh sorry, I lost it." This is my main worry, also is filming myself , I will be alone when filming several scenes, I have to be very careful I get some things right.

Ideas

I've found a good idea with the scenes, to bring drama I will cut the scenes so they are slightly jumpy, yet the camera is quite still. This cuts away character movement time, bringing faster paced shots and more action. I've decided for one scene which will contain a poker table with cards, cigars, possibly guns and knives. I will have individual scenes of the characters each laughing, serious, somewhat terrified of a visiter. The final scene will contain The Masked Man, leaving with a briefcase or bag that the thugs had brought in. I am unsure of where I will do this scene, yet I have a few ideas. It shouldn't be too hard to pull off. I am finding it tricky getting ideas for the girl, I feel she needs more scenes and a small relation to the masked man, whether he will be seen as a relative or family friend. This will be tricky, as I will play the masked man, yet I do not want my face shown in the film at all.

Week 5

I ordered my mask today and recently ordered 50 comics from random series of super-heroes has been ordered. I downloaded Fruity Loops and am hoping to make my own background music, yet in case I have found several websites offer free beats and tunes that are allowed to be used with anything, as long as it is profit-free, if they are used for profits you basically have to purchase the rights. The lyrical content is a little tricky to get working, I have never written anything similar and am hoping to tell several small stories of saving people and stopping crime, basically setting the song within a made up comic universe. I am hoping to find certain people to have parts in the film, with crime rings being taken down between scenes, so one scene they are all laughing and containing villainous themes, to being rather beaten and tossed around a room. I still need to purchase a mask for the girl, yet I don't believe it will be too hard, it won't need to appear good quality, I want it to look like something purchased from a K-Zone magazine. Unsure If i will give the girl a cape, I doubt I need it, yet it might give her character more character.
